On 14 April 2025, together with local tourism providers from the six municipalities of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps – Kamnik, Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Preddvor, Jezersko, Solčava, Luče, we experienced an inspiring study tour, which was a mix of experiences, networking and knowledge exchange.
We started the day in Kamnik with the Beer and Freedom Trail experience and a visit to the Maister Brewery, where we learnt how the brewing tradition can also enrich the tourist offer. At the Šenk Homestead in Jezersko, we immersed ourselves in an authentic story of coexistence with nature, in the Logar Valley, shepherd Nejc from the Special Day Institute took us through a magical landscape with a special approach to heritage interpretation, and we rounded off the day with an unforgettable culinary experience at the Raduha House in Luče, where tradition meets fine gastronomy.
In addition to the presentation of good practices, special attention was also paid to the summer Hop-on Hop-off transport in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, which allows visitors to explore the region in a sustainable way and at the same time connects key points between municipalities. Such mobility methods are not only practical, but also an important step towards more sustainable tourism.
Meetings like this remind us again and again how valuable cooperation is. When providers come together, we can create a more coherent, high-quality and recognisable destination that will inspire both domestic and foreign visitors.
