Pastoral Idyll
Where else would our little shepherd Christopher look for sheep, if not on the mountain, a true shepherd’s paradise. But his journey was in vain. Perhaps young Lintver brought him here because he knows that there is no seven-pointed larch tree growing here, which he is afraid of ending up like his father, for it was just such a larch tree that killed Lintver in the flood. His bones were later found in the Logar meadows.
Mountain hut in Grohot
The mountain hut in Grohot pod Raduho (1460 m) is a cosy mountain hut on Grohot Mountain, below the northern spur of Raduha. The hut is part of the Solčava Panorama Route, but not its central part, which can be covered in one day – from the Bukovc (Bukovnik) excursion farm you can reach it in 45 minutes by an easy marked hiking trail, or by road. In summer and winter months, a terrace awaits you in front of the cottage, where you can enjoy a delicious meal in the warm sunshine, while the children play on the wooden sheepfolds.
