In September, you are cordially invited to the 14th Bicka Sheep Wool Festival, which will take place from September 12 to 14 in Solčava.
The three-day event will feature:
- various demonstrations of wool processing
- felting workshops
- an exhibition of creations from past fashion shows
- a presentation of the book “Zgornjesavinjsko črno olje Smolnak” (Black Oil from Smolnak in the Upper Savinja Valley)
- butterfly watching in the local area
- games for children
- Bicka’s culinary delicacies at the Rinka Center
We invite you to participate in the activities of the Bicka Sheep Wool Festival, which are part of our cultural heritage. You will also be able to watch the shearing of our Solčava-Jezerska indigenous sheep breed. In the local product boutiques, you can see masterful handmade products made from sheep’s wool by local producers and try your hand at a sheep’s wool felting workshop.
As this is already the 14th Sheep Wool Festival, we will also show you the best moments from past events at the Rinka Center, and you will also be able to see an exhibition of the natural and cultural heritage of Solčava.
