Get to know the Slovenian Tourism Green Scheme
The Slovenian Green Tourism Scheme (ZSST) is a national programme and certification scheme under the umbrella brand SLOVENIA GREEN:
- unites all efforts for sustainable tourism development in Slovenia,
- provides destinations and providers with concrete tools to assess and improve their sustainability performance,
- promotes this green action through the Slovenia Green brand.
According to the SLOVENIA GREEN label guidelines for suppliers, a supplier wishing to join the Slovenian Green Tourism Scheme must hold or have obtained an internationally recognised and SLOVENIA GREEN-recognised label.

Good Travel Seal
Good Travel SealGood Travel Seal is a sustainability management certification and programme for all tourism businesses, designed with usability and accessibility in mind for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Under the Green Scheme, the label is suitable for accommodation, caterers, tourist attractions, congress centres and mountain centres.

Green Globe
Green Globe is a certification for hotels, resorts, tour operators, rent-a-car, exhibition and event spaces and other types of tourism businesses, based on a set of sustainability indicators from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
Under the Green Scheme, the label is suitable for accommodation, travel agencies, tourist attractions and convention centres.

Green Key
Green Key is a label of excellence for environmental responsibility and sustainable business in tourism. In addition to hotels, Green Key is also available to hostels, small accommodation facilities, campsites, conference centres, restaurants and attractions. The label is recognised by the GSTC.
In the Green Scheme, the label is suitable for accommodation, caterers, tourist attractions and convention centres.

EU Ecolabel
The EU Ecolabel for tourist accommodation, known in Europe as the EU Ecolabel or colloquially as the daisy, has been the European Union’s official label for environmentally friendly tourist accommodation since 2003. Businesses that obtain the label
are thus officially recognised as verified as environmentally friendly. All types of accommodation establishments can apply for the EU Ecolabel, including hotels, guesthouses, mountain huts, private hosts, tourist farms and campsites.

Ecocamping
The introduction of Ecocamping Management is aimed at improving the protection of the
environment, safety and quality at the campsite. The operation of the campsite is carefully reviewed by the awarding body, which plans improvement measures together with the company. Requirements such as staff training, waste management, energy and water consumption and report generation are an integral part of the system.
