Slovenia is one of the leading countries in the field of sustainable tourism and holds the prestigious title of Green Destination.
A key pillar of this effort is the Slovenian Green Tourism Scheme, a comprehensive national programme that promotes sustainable development and responsible management of tourist destinations. Logarska dolina – Solčavsko is a proud holder of the Slovenia Green label, which confirms our commitment to the preservation of natural and cultural heritage and sustainable development. The destination is also home to the Logarska dolina Landscape Park, which is also a member of the Slovenian Green Tourism Scheme and a recipient of the Slovenia Green Park label.

Slovenia Green Gold and Slovenia Green Park - Confirmation of our sustainable orientation
For the second time in a row, our destination has been awarded the prestigious Slovenia Green Gold label by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO), which demonstrates a high level of sustainable operation and development and confirms our efforts to manage tourism in an environmentally responsible and sustainable way. We are proud to be among the leading Slovenian destinations that set an example of sustainable tourism and offer visitors unique experiences in unspoilt nature.
Membership of the Slovenia Green Consortium
Logarska dolina - Solčavsko is also an active member of the Slovenia Green Consortium, which brings together destinations, accommodation, parks, attractions and tourism agencies committed to sustainable tourism.
As members of the consortium, we have access to regular training, professional development and best practice examples that allow us to continue to improve our sustainability initiatives. The Consortium promotes cooperation between destinations and knowledge transfer, which contributes to the overall sustainable development of Slovenian tourism.

At the Rinka Centre, we apply the principles of the Green Office
We avoid single-use plastics, drink tap water and use jugs and glasses, take our snacks in the next pub (we don’t use food delivery because of packaging waste), separate our waste, use returnable drinks at events, and use reusable plates and cutlery, we take part in cleaning campaigns in our town, we do not print everything, we use waste paper, we dispose of batteries in the designated containers, we do not air-condition our premises in summer, we do not switch on all lights unless there is a need to do so, the premises are equipped with energy-saving light bulbs. We mostly walk, cycle or use electric scooters to get to work, and work from home when there are no visitors.
